Summer 2025

Organic Gardening and Herbs 25 to 27 July

Now that food security is finally being recognised as a serious issue in this country, knowing how to supplement our kitchen with fresh healthy food is even more important. (More details here)

Organic principles work with nature and avoid the use of chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers. Over the weekend, we will explore how these techniques can be used to improve soil health, enhance plant vitality and produce quality crops. This optimises growing conditions, improves quality and deters pests. The weekend will also have a practical focus so come prepared for being outdoors too.

Participants are encouraged to bring sketches and photos of their farm, allotment, garden or window-box if they wish to ask specific questions about their own growing space. There will also be an overview of some of the different varieties of organic (biodynamic, regenerative, vegan farming, permaculture) so you can add insights from these to your basic system.
