A relaxing break, whether you are a published author, or still planning that first debut novel!
The 3 days provide a welcoming space where everyone can develop their own work and share ideas with other like-minded people. This is a creative break, free from sitting through powerpoint lectures (plenty of those online already!)
The first session is an opportunity for everyone to post what they would like to gain from this time together, and to offer any insights they may have to share. In previous gatherings, everyone has asked to read some of their writing for constructive feedback, and offered to give feedback to others. We have also enjoyed -- A fascinating exploration of Jane Austin by a literary graduate The secrets of TV scripts by a BBC screenwriter, 'Getting published vs self-publishing' by an author who has experienced both -- to name but a few!
The feedback sessions usually lead to interesting discussions over lunch (or sun-lounging time) and of course there are quiet times for individual writing, as ideas spark and have to be put on page!
You can stay on for extra days if wished, to browse the famous bookshops in Hay on Wye (9 miles by local bus) or go for walks in surrounding countryside or Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog, 20 miles) -- or time to just sit and write those extra pages!

Public transport is by rail to Hereford station, then local bus or taxi to Golden Valley. Details and maps will be sent when you book your place.
